Help Us Serve
the Forsaken
We are a self-supporting community. Our brothers work delivery routes and wash dishes so this ministry stays free for all. If our prayers, our presence, or our work has meant something to you — this is how you walk alongside us.
Three brothers. One friary. One meal a day. Five prayers daily. All of it funded by secular jobs — and people like you.
We never hold our hands out begging. But rent, medical costs, and the basic needs of ministry are real. One of our brothers is battling stage-four cancer. Another lives with Congestive Heart Failure and diabetes. We continue — because the poor and the indigenous of El Paso are still here, and so are we. Your gift keeps us here too.

Give Online Now
Secure donation through Square. Any amount. Once or monthly, takes thirty seconds. Goes directly to the friary with no administrative overhead.
Our Amazon Wish List
Rather give something tangible? We have an Amazon wish list of items the friary genuinely needs — from chapel supplies to practical household necessities. Everything on the list goes directly to supporting the brothers and the work.
Pray for Us
We mean it. The prayers of those we serve sustain us as much as any donation. If you cannot give financially, please pray for the brothers by name — Greywolf, Washakie, and Thomas.

“We never live better than the people we serve.”
— Rule of the Franciscan Friars of the Forsaken
Every dollar given to this community goes to the work — rent, food, medical costs, chapel maintenance, and the ongoing ministry to the poor and indigenous peoples of El Paso. We have no endowment, no institutional backing, no wealthy benefactors. We have the grace of God and the generosity of those who believe the forsaken are worth serving.
Thank you. In Christ, the Brothers of the Forsaken.
Current Specific Needs
A Vehicle for Ministry
Our current vehicle, a GMC Canyon, has become too costly to fuel and maintain for a community living on mendicant wages. We are looking for a 1995 Nissan pickup truck, standard transmission, in reliable working condition. If you have one to donate or know of one available, please contact us at friary@ofmo.org. Alternatively, a monetary donation toward a replacement vehicle would be deeply appreciated.
A Home for Our Chapel
For nearly two decades, the Franciscan Friars of the Forsaken have celebrated the Divine Office and the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in a modest three-bedroom home in El Paso, Texas. It is a humble arrangement — and a holy one — but the time has come to ask God and His people for something more.
We are seeking a small dedicated space — a chapel, a storefront, a modest building — where we can celebrate Mass and the Divine Office, open our doors to the poor and indigenous peoples of the Southwest, and provide a place of prayer, outreach, and community for those who need it most. We envision a space that could hold approximately twenty parishioners to start — nothing grand, nothing elaborate. Just four walls, an altar, and the presence of God.
We are open to renting or owning. We are open to whatever God provides. If you have a property in the El Paso area that you would consider donating or making available at low or no cost, we would be deeply grateful. If you feel called to contribute financially toward this dream, every dollar goes directly toward making it a reality. And if you cannot give — please pray. Pray that God opens a door. He has surprised us before.
“Ask and it shall be given to you. Seek and you shall find. Knock and the door shall be opened unto you.” — Matthew 7:7
